Jorvik Centre – York
Years 3/4M, 4G and 4K all went on an educational visit to the Jorvik Centre in York.
The children were given the chance to grab a trowel and dig to see what they could find in DIG’s specially designed excavation pits and rediscover some of the amazing finds that archaeologists have uncovered under the streets of York. They got to touch real artefacts and work out what they would have been used for and understand how these finds explain how people lived in Roman, Viking, Medieval and Victorian times.
World Book Day
On Thursday, 7th March, 2013 we celebrated World Book Day. We asked parents/carers to listen to their children read for 15 minutes and complete a sponsor form as we are trying to raise funds to buy story CD’s for use in class.
On Friday, 8th March children and staff were invited to dress up as their favourite book character for the day. Thank you to everyone who attended our assembly.
