This week in Literacy, Y4G have been writing letters to persuade parents to join us for our French Breakfast Morning, which will be taking place after Half Term. Here are some examples …

Dear mum and dad,

I am writing to ask you to join us at our French breakfast morning on Friday the 7th of June at9:30. We are doing this to share our French learning with parents and carers. This is held for adults teachers and children. This outstanding day will be held in the flexi space and the centre circle. Your money will be turned into Euros at school and you will be paying with French money. It will give you chance to meet up with other parents. It would be a pleasure to see you there.

Some believe that the foods we are going to be trying are unhealthy however, we will be trying new foods. I am sure that it will be a cross-curricular learning using French, maths and ICT. There will be French music, decorations and games. Therefore we will be looking at the French culture.

In Conclusion doing this could make profit for the school and get our school in the Advertiser.

I am writing to you to ask you to ask you if you would like to come to our French breakfast Morning. It will be held on the Friday 7th June 9:30. It will be an astonishing event for parents to spend time with their children and other parents. Parents, children and teachers will be invited to this event.

In my opinion I think you should come because there will be French music, decorations and games. Although there might be unhealthy foods, it will be the opportunity to try new foods. I am sure you will love our tasty treats. I’m sure that it will be a cross – curricular learning event using French, ICT and maths. Therefore you will be looking at the French culture.

In Conclusion my class are doing this to make profit for my school and so we can get our school in the newspaper.

We are writing to urge you to come to are French breakfast morning on Friday 7th June at 9:30. This would be an excellent opportunity for us to share our learning with you. It will be hosted in the flexi space where you will be relaxed by some soothing music. Please come, we are trying to make some money if you don’t come we might not earn any money. This is cross-curricular learning for us to share with you and you will learn some more French.

In my opinion the French breakfast might be unhealthy however, you will be able to try lots of delicious new foods. Therefore, you will feel like you are in France!
