On Tuesday the 2nd of July our Year 6 children celebrated in style with their end of year leaving prom.
The afternoon began with the arrival of the children all adorned in their prom dresses and suits, looking absolutely stunning and so grown up!
The children then moved into the shared area where beautifully decorated tables awaited them, they chatted with their friends, ate their dinner and caught up on all their latest news!
Next all the children were treat to a ride around Herringthorpe in two amazing Hummer Limousines! A disco was put on in the Junior hall where dancing and games carried on throughout the afternoon. All the children and the staff had a wonderful time!
Our Year 6 children have been amazing and it is with mixed emotions that we say goodbye to them. We are happy and excited for them to be moving on into the next phase of their lives where they will meet new friends and have new and exciting experiences and opportunities. But it is also with sadness that we say goodbye, as their exuberance, willingness to learn, and their positive attitude will be dearly missed by all the staff.
With this, Year 6, all the staff want to wish you all the very best in your new schools! Keep learning, keep smiling and keep reaching for your aspirations…
