SATs Results

We are pleased with our best ever SATs results. Thank you to all the parents for your very positive comments and support. A massive thank you to all my staff, children and parents for your hard work in ensuring the Y6 achieve their very best in their time with us. We wish them the best of luck in their new schools and we hope they continue to do well in the future.

Enterprise

On Friday the 28th of June the Young Friends of Herringthorpe alongside the Enterprise Champions attended the Enterprise learning market at the New York Stadium. Over three weeks the children were asked to make decisions on what to make and sell at the learning market. Decisions were made to make headbands, pin cushions, key rings and phone charms. The children worked through the big 13 in order to ensure they were planning, making and evaluating their products:-

Teamwork; Risk Management; Negotiating and Influencing; Effective Communication; Creativity and Innovation; Positive Attitude; Initiative; Organising and Planning; Decision Making, Problem Solving & Identifying Opportunities; Leadership;

Making Decisions – Ethical and Economic; Financial Literacy; Product and Service Design

There was a focus on financial literacy, ensuring they were able to calculate the cost of all the materials.
