Symmetry in Y4G

In Numeracy we have been working on investigating lines of Symmetry. Firstly we started in the classroom using string as a mirror line, the children had to use coloured counters to make symmetrical patterns. During our lesson the children began to realise that when colour was added it changed how many lines of symmetry the shape had, especially when looking at a square. Once confident we went onto the playground to create patterns using PE equipment. The children used their enterprise skills to be creative, resilient and worked extremely well as a team.
