Roscars 2014

Rotherham Roscars…What a night to remember!

The evening started with all the children arriving excitedly at the New York Stadium. They were greeted by various characters including Shrek and Fiona, Darth Vader, Snow White and many more! With faces beaming, to match the sun, the children looked amazing in all their beautiful clothes!

As the evening progressed, children were given a goody bag each with bubbles and sweets inside, which went down a treat! Then it was time to settle and await our outcome to see if our year groups had won!

There were two Year Groups that managed to get shortlisted this year, these were Year 4 Animation and Year 5 Film.

You will be pleased to know that both year groups managed to secure a finishing place! With Year 5 coming runner up in their category for their French Tour de France film and Year 4 winning their category with their performance of Dance Macbre!

We are so very proud of all the hard work and effort that has gone into making these videos, the children have worked exceptionally hard and we are so glad that we are bringing home, to Herringthorpe, certificates and trophies to proudly display in school!

Have a look at the photos that were taken on the night, and scroll to the bottom to see the video entries!

Year 4’s Film entry that didn’t make the shortlist! We don’t know why because it’s amazing! I’m sure you’ll agree!

Videos of all our other entries will follow very soon…
