On Friday 26th September, Y4/5G took their maths learning outside, all the way to Whitby in fact!

Children were set time problems to solve travelling from various key locations in Whitby. Using cones, photos and maps our playground was transformed to represent the quaint seaside town.

The children worked in pairs moving from one location to another, using number lines to support them in solving their word problems.
