In the last week of this term Miss Dunmore’s literacy group wrote their own narrative poems about Grace Darling’s heroic rescue of passengers from the SS Forfarshire in 1838. They then performed these poems using actions and narration. I think you’ll agree this an excellent start to their learning about Grace Darling. I can’t wait to read their newspaper reports when we start them after half term!
