On Friday the 28th November 2014, Mrs Greenwoods enterprise club have had the opportunity to visit Sheffield Hallam University. Taking part in designing a new app for Apple. They have been supported by Mike White, who is an entrepreneur. He has been successful in app design and studied at Sheffield Hallam university, which has given our children aspirations for the future. Joined by Winterhill School and students from Sheffield Hallam, the children were arranged into groups to put their ideas into action.
During the afternoon each group designed their own screenshots using various materials, they then presented their ideas to a panel of judges!
All the teams were amazing and put forward their own unique design ideas, to be scrutinised by the Dragons! Our winning team was the ‘Jolly Jumpers’ who came up with a fantastic idea to sell and design Christmas Jumpers through their app! The children in that team were Lola (Y5) Luke,(Y5) Travis (Y4) and Sam (Y6)
Well done to all who took part and made this an active, fun and inspirational day of learning!
