Today Y5S investigated solubility. We tested whether everyday foods would dissolve in water to create a solution. We learnt new vocabulary such as: solute, solvent, soluble and solution which sounds very confusing but all became clear in the end. This was a practical science investigation that required teamwork, good communication and an element of reflection to question why we got the results we did. As you can see from the pictures we all enjoyed this hands on activity and are looking forward to the next one!
