After some skill based preparation in our sketch books we moved on to creating our very own versions of cave art! First we began by using pastel to imitate the backgrounds of some real Stone Age cave paintings. We had to use white, yellow, orange and finally red to build up our backgrounds in different layers. We can’t wait to add some of the finer detail next week!
