Today Year 4 had a fabulous day visiting Weston Park Museum. The visit was linked to our topic, The Egyptians. Before taking part in exciting Egyptian learning, Year 4 were very lucky and had a chance to explore the museum! After exploring the museum and it’s fabulous artefacts, Year 4 took part in a fantastic Egyptian workshop where they learnt about the Egyptian afterlife and what happened to The Egyptians when they died. Have a look at some of our pictures below.
I loved it at western park museum because It was fun. I wish I could do that again but we can’t. Plus I could go there everyday it was excellent. I enjoyed it when we saw the stuffed baby bear because they is a picture of Daisy and Isabel.
Another thing. When it came to embalming Fred, I thought it was a real person! I was like “Oh no Anita! Fred will be wasted, i think! Im going to be pretty disgusted when I see his brain. Uh oh,no!” But when we uncovered him I was like “Oh. I wasn’t expecting that…. It’s a doll!” How strange…. but I loved the way the doll was full of human needs such as brains,a heart, lungs, liver and intestines! Fred reminded me of a real person. 😊

I hope I go there again in my life! This area is fantastic because I love the fact that they have REAL artefacts! I enjoyed the trip ! What about you and why?
I also give a special thank you to Miss Cooper and Mrs Kirby for planning such an amazing trip.👍😀
