Park Fun in Y3R

Today, as part of our Percy the Park Keeper topic, Y3R were looking at different park animals and how they adapt to their environment. We researched what each animal needs close by to them, in order for the animal to survive and thrive.

Using big sheets of paper and plenty of coloured pens, the children were split into five groups, fox, duck, rabbit, owl and squirrel. They had to design their very own park that would be suitable for their animal to live in. They thought about food sources needed, shelter and safety from predators. This activity has helped them gather ideas from each other ready for their animal character description that we will be moving on to publish.
