Today we carried out a series of tests on different types of rock. We looked at the physical properties of the rocks, answering questions such as:
Will the rock float?
Will it split?
Is it hard wearing?
Is it permeable?
We then discussed why we might use different rocks for different purposes and where we might find rocks around us.
