This week, in literacy, we have been learning all about instructional text. We have been looking at lots of different variations of instructions and finding the features, similarities and difference between them. Also as part of our literacy, and linking with our science topic of plants, Y3 have been busy planting cress!

The children had to plant their own pot of cress thinking about instructional language, for example imperative verbs and time connectives! Everybody took notes on their whiteboards as they completed each stage of the planting process!

Even Cuddles, Y3R class mascot, got involved and had to test to see if the children’s notes were clear enough for him to follow!
