World Falconry Day 2015

Today (16th November) is National World Falconry Day! 

In order to celebrate the wonderful birds of prey that can be found around the world, the children in Year 3 were lucky enough to have a special visit from Ruby and Rosie. 

These 2 red tailed Hawks were the stars of the show as they flew from perch to glove and showed off their magnificent skills as birds of prey! We learned how these birds are trained and how they hunt and we were able to show our learning in a range of different ways! 

Though these 2 birds are the same species, they are very different because of their age; I wonder if you can spot any differences …
