To mark the end of their topic on World War Two,  Year 6 have had a wonderful day planning, preparing and then celebrating Victory in Europe.

The morning was spent designing bunting, making flags, baking carrot cookies, cooking stew and making their own sandwich for the street party. In the afternoon, the outdoor area was decorated and we all enjoyed a street party style VE day celebration.  The children also enjoyed sharing their own learning about VE day. We had videos, songs, newspaper reports and even a 1940’s dance. A great day was had by everyone. Well done Year 6 -a lovely end to a busy half term. Enjoy your rest!
