Y3K have been finding out about soil in their science lessons. Today, they began investigating what soil is made up of. They began by collecting soil samples from around school (some also brought samples in from home). They then set up their experiment. Over the next few days the children will observe what happens in their jars/bottles and record their results. They are very excited to see what they will find out!

The children have also used their senses to explore the soil samples they collected further. They observed, felt and listened to see what they could find out and compared their findings.

In a few weeks time they will be using everything they found out to help them choose the best soil to grow their crops 🌱
