๐Ÿ“ธ Y6 students delved into the captivating world of finch evolution. ๐Ÿฆ By comparing how large and small beaks (aka pegs, tweezers) picked up various foods, they discovered the survival of the fittest firsthand. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿš We had 20 seconds to compare how much food we could move using the different beaks. Across the room we had conclusive results: large, flat beaks were more adept at picking up seeds, offering greater chances of survival. ๐ŸŒฑ
