On Friday the 14th of November we held a special assembly to celebrate Children in Need. Everybody made such a special effort to come dressed as either a super hero or a princess! The hall was awash with all different colours, costumes and creations! The children reflected upon just what Children in Need is all about and what it means to raise money for children less fortunate than themselves.
Together we managed to raise above £450!!
We also had a special assembly to say farewell to our Zambian friends, Astern Thole and Flaviour Casapo. They have been with us all week and have been in all the classrooms watching how our children work and learn. They will be taking some of what they have learnt, whilst they have been here, back to their children and classrooms in Zambia! It has been such a privilege to have Astern and Flavour with us at Herringthorpe Juniors and they will be missed by all.
Please watch the video below to be part of our Children in Need day.
