World Falconry Day
Monday 16th November, 2015 was World Falconry Day. In order to celebrate the wonderful birds of prey that can be found around the world the Year 3 children had a special visit from Ruby and Rosie (Red Tailed Hawks). The children learned how these birds are trained and how they hunt.
Afternoon Tea
Year 5 parents and grandparents were invited to enjoy Afternoon Tea. In numeracy the children have been learning about weights and measures, therefore, the children wanted to show off their skills calculating the amounts needed to serve 40 adults using their knowledge of fractions, ratio and proportion. We offered
sea biscuits and flapjacks that the children had made linked to their residential visit to Filey.
