Over the last two weeks the children have been getting physical in their numeracy to understand different concepts. In Summs the children were learning how to multiply by 25 using their knowledge of multiplying by 100, halving and halving again. The children had a series of instructions to follow to share their answers. Could you create an example at home?

During Numeracy we have been learning about area and perimeter, the children have been making composite shapes using masking tape. They have worked in teams to measure the area and perimeter of a range of shapes. The children have also had to convert between cm to m to solve their calculations. We were very impressed with their knowledge and understanding.
