This afternoon Y3F investigated materials in our classroom to sort them into magnetic and non magnetic materials. We predicted which items we thought would be magnetic. We then investigated using magnets until we had sorted all our materials before publishing our findings. We found that most metal items were magnetic. Next week we will investigate what makes some metals magnetic and why some are not.
