This afternoon, Y3 have been researching how the local areas surrounding our academy schools (Herringthorpe, Greasbrough, Roughwood and Rockingham) have changed over time. We have found out that in early 1900 there was a lot of arable land but as the population of England increased, more houses were built on the arable land. Herringthorpe Junior School is built on land that was previously meadowland.
