Last week, as part of book week, the entire school took part in a spelling bee competition!
As the focus of the week was improving our spelling and phonics, each class were tested on words from a class book!
After finding our class winners, these children battled it out head to head in the year group ‘spell off’, leaving us with 1 winner from each year group!
And what a final we had yesterday!!
The nerves started to kick in for these children but they were able to keep their cool and spell some really tricky words in front of the whole school!
After a very tense spell off, the lower school winner was Jacob Nicholson from 3B and the upper school winner went to Dylan Cartlidge from 5S!!
A huge well done to Khizer (4H) and Trinity (6E) as well as all of the other finalists for their effort and determination!
Well done everyone big pat on the back 🙂
Well done everyone
WELL DONE TO EVERYONE EVEN THE CHILDREN WHO DID NOT WIN THE FINAL AND THE CLASS SPELLINGS, SO THAT GOES TO EVERYONE WHO TOOK PART IN THE SPELLING BEE!
IF I COULD GIVE EVRYONE 10 HOUSE POINTS I WOULD AND I WOULD GIVE 50 HOUSE POINTS TO THE FINALISTS WELL DONE!
Well done everyone!! A special big hooray to Jacob, does this mean you are now a better speller than me? I hope so, I will have lots of spelling books for you to check when I come back!!
Miss Brewin
Well done Dylan and Jacob
