Y6 launched our new topic of ‘what makes me, me?’ by learning about the composition of blood. We started with dilute juice to represent the plasma in blood, before adding red laces for the red blood cells, white marshmallows for white blood cells and oats for platelets. At the end we added some red food colouring to represent the colour of blood when it becomes oxygenated.
